Business Women Affairs
Due to the significant developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the general stability of its sectors, especially ones that are of concern to citizens, such as the economic sector, whose growth is maintained thanks to the support of the Saudi leadership over the past decades; this led to increased investments in both industrial and services economic sectors.
With the rising keenness to enable women and enhance their role as a key player in the economic development sector, the Council of Saudi Chambers issued a decision in 2005 to create The General Secretariat for Business Women Affairs - under the umbrella of the Council of Saudi Chambers - as a main department that serves all economic activities related to Saudi businesswomen in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Providing an investment environment that lives up to Saudi Arabia’s economic development, in which women’s investments and participation can thrive in different sectors, and be able to compete regionally and internationally.
Supporting the general interests of businesswomen in Saudi Arabia, and engaging with concerned bodies to develop and enhance economic activities that enhance their role in the labor market.
1.Strengthening relations with women departments at chambers of commerce & industry.
2.Studying issues related to women recruitment and women’s contribution to economic development.
3.Facilitating women recruitment, and achieving the goals of jobs Saudization.
4.Developing Saudi women’s capabilities and enabling them to invest in different sectors.
5.Raising awareness to legal and procedural aspects of women investments in Saudi Arabia.
6.Working with women delegations - from inside and outside the Kingdom – regarding developing foreign investments in Saudi Arabia, and activating local exports programs.
7.Strengthening relations with the public and private sectors.
8.Enhancing relations with businesswomen, and studying their needs in order to enhance the Saudi labor market.
9.Representing the Council of Saudi Chambers in women’s events inside and outside the Kingdom.
