It was established in Majma'ah under the Ministerial Resolution No. 260 to serve the private sector and protect its interests by adopting its opinions and suggestions and working on the development of local and international trade.
It was established to carry out many functions like serving the economic sector in all of its forms, especially the interests of the private sector. It represents the private sector's commercial and industrial interests before public authorities. The chamber aims to raise economic awareness in the business community through the collection and dissemination of all information and statistics relating to economic activities and aspects. It also prepares related studies and research and also provides them so they become accessible to those interested. The chambers it works as a liaison between the public and private sectors, seeing as it informs businessmen of regulations, decisions and instructions related to its activities.
To guarantee the reception of services to all specialized categories, several quality committees were formed, each of which represents an economic sector in order to identify the status of the private sector, its problems and constraints continuously, and to find practical solutions and develop some other important activities within the framework of the comprehensive objectives developmental plans for the Kingdom.
