The requirements to obtain the necessary approvals to hold forums, conferences and economic or trade meetings whether local or international with foreign participation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to the provisions of the Royal Decree No. 9388 / m b, dated 27/7/1426 A.H., and the Royal Decree No. 7736 / m b, dated 5/9/1428 A.H. are as follows:
- Every organizer should submit an annual plan before the end of each Gregorian year to the Council of Saudi Chambers of the events they plans on holding in Saudi Arabia that involve foreign participation for the next year. This plan should include the name of the event, the date, themes and objectives, and they have to obtain initial approvals by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
- After the initial approval of the Ministry of Trade and Industry on the events, organizers should provide the Council with the proposed names of senior figures to participate (heads of state, former or current prime ministers and ministers, as well as officials in regional and international organizations), the names and ID numbers of speakers (the civil registry numbers for Saudis, Residence numbers for foreigners in the Kingdom, and passport numbers for foreigners from outside the Kingdom), and their positions. This information should be submitted maximum three months prior to the event so that the Council can address the Ministry of Trade and Industry to seek the final approval for the event.
- The need to notify the participants in these events of what is required by the social situation in the Kingdom in terms of appearance and commitment to modest attire.
