A Saudi delegation, led by Chairperson of the Saudi-Korean Business Council at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Mr. Abdulaziz Al Rukban, participated in the Saudi-Korean Business Forum – organized by the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Seoul, with attendance of the Saudi Ambassador to Korea, Dr. Riyadh Al Mubaraki.
Mr. Al Rukban noted during his address the distinguished relations between Saudi Arabia and Korea, as Korea is one of the largest trade partners to the Kingdom. He stressed the importance of fostering these economic relations, and enhancing cooperation in different trade and investment areas, especially considering the capabilities of both countries, which can be transformed into viable projects in the upcoming period. Al Rukban pointed to the significant role of Korean companies in implementing large projects, including infrastructure, energy, oil, water, petrochemicals, and trade services.
The Delegation Chairperson additionally encouraged Korean businesspeople to invest in the Saudi market, noting that it is the largest in the region, and benefit from the great opportunities it offers in different sectors. He also advocated for an effective partnership between Saudi and Korean companies, and in turn, an effective role in the two countries’ economic development process.
The Forum shed light on areas of investment cooperation and strategic partnership in several sectors that are in line with both countries’ economic development initiatives, and particularly the Saudi Vision 2030. It also included B2B meetings between Saudi and Korean companies, and field trips to leading international companies in Korea.
Members of the Saudi delegation included representatives of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Small & Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), Saudi Export Program, and Saudi Aramco.
