The General Secretariat for Chambers Affairs at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) organized a workshop, in cooperation with Ocean X for financial and management consulting for entrepreneurs and SMEs, to shed light on business opportunities for Saudi women in pioneer projects following the launching of the Saudi Vision 2030, and the right steps to benefit from these opportunities and overcome relevant barriers.
The workshop comes as part of the General Secretariat’s program to communicate and partner with government and private sector agencies to organize such activities, along with seminars to foster the role of chambers of commerce in supporting the business community.
Entrepreneurship expert, Dr. Mohammed Al Rukayan, noted during the workshop that small enterprises require a simple plan, to be developed with the consultation of experts in the field, stressing that faith in the significance of SMEs is key to vitalizing the sector, particularly given the trust of the Saudi leadership in it as an important part of the economic development process.
For her part, women empowerment expert, Rita Albert, encouraged businesswomen to focus on the economic feasibility of the project when embarking on an innovative concept, adding that Saudi women are capable to thrive in entrepreneurship. She noted the importance of winning the trust of investors by fulfilling promises and selecting the right project team.
