A business delegation
representing the Saudi business community, organized by the Council of Saudi
Chambers (CSC), is participating in the 2nd EU-Arab World Summit in
Athena, Greece, on Thursday, November 9, 2017, which will see participation of
leading officials from Greece, Europe and the Arab world.
Participation in the summit
comes as part of CSC’s representation of the Saudi private sector, whose
presence at such high profile events is intrinsic to fostering trade and
investment relations with regional and international partners, and
consequently, elevating the national economic development process in the
The EU-Arab World Summit will
tackle two main topics: economy and politics. The economic aspect of it will
discuss concerns related to investments, energy, infrastructure, and trade.
Whereas the political aspect will touch on issues of security, immigration, and
stability. The summit will include B2B meetings and presentations on investment
opportunities on the sidelines of the discussions.
The summit aims at reaching a
joint vision on regional and international developments, and fostering economic
cooperation between the EU and the Arab world in vital sectors.
It is worth noting that Saudi
Arabia and Greece share robust, historic relations, with trade reaching SAR
4894 million in 2016.
