CSC Delegation Participates in 2nd EU-Arab World Summit

A business delegation representing the Saudi business community, organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC), is participating in the 2nd EU-Arab World Summit in Athena, Greece, on Thursday, November 9, 2017, which will see participation of leading officials from Greece, Europe and the Arab world.

Participation in the summit comes as part of CSC’s representation of the Saudi private sector, whose presence at such high profile events is intrinsic to fostering trade and investment relations with regional and international partners, and consequently, elevating the national economic development process in the Kingdom.

The EU-Arab World Summit will tackle two main topics: economy and politics. The economic aspect of it will discuss concerns related to investments, energy, infrastructure, and trade. Whereas the political aspect will touch on issues of security, immigration, and stability. The summit will include B2B meetings and presentations on investment opportunities on the sidelines of the discussions.

The summit aims at reaching a joint vision on regional and international developments, and fostering economic cooperation between the EU and the Arab world in vital sectors.

It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia and Greece share robust, historic relations, with trade reaching SAR 4894 million in 2016.
