The legal and business arena is preparing for launching the biggest forum of its kind for workers in the legal profession and commercial arbitration sector in the Gulf Cooperation Council's States. The Lawyers National Committee at the Council of Saudi Chambers shall organize under patronage of H.E. the Minister of Justice Shaikh Dr. Mohammed Abdulkarim Al Issa events of the 9th meeting of the lawyers and arbitrators of the Gulf Cooperation Council States. The Committee organizes this meeting in cooperation with the Commercial Arbitration Center of the Gulf Cooperation Council States. The events will continue on Wednesday and Thursday 23-24 Rabea Awal 1433H, hosted by Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This is preceded by the 7th meeting of the lawyers organized by the Lawyers National Committee on Tuesday 22 Rabea Awal 1433H under cooperation of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Lawyers Committee as the host and patronage of H.E. the Minister of Justice who shall meet with around 100 of elite lawyers, university teachers and legal consultants of both public and private sectors from all parts of the Kingdom.

Dr. Saud Al Meshari, Assistant Secretary General for the Legal Affairs at the Council of Saudi Chambers said the Saudi lawyers meeting comes within the Council's efforts represented by the Lawyers Committee in order to strengthen the lawyers sector role in the Kingdom and to suggest opinions and views for supporting and enabling the lawyer to perform his tasks before the legal and judicial entities as an essential partner in the justice system and major supporter to achieve their trends in implementation of justice and developing the Saudi lawyer and the legal profession and dissemination of the legal culture among the society at large within the project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to develop the judicial facilities and Board of Grievances.
Dr. Al Meshari has valued patronage by H.E. the Minister of Justice Shaikh Dr. Mohammed Abdulkarim Al Issa of the meeting and considered it a strong support for its works and the expected results. He said it reflected keenness and concern of the Ministry of Justice in supporting the existing partnership with the legal profession sector in the Kingdom and its confidence in the sector and the Saudi lawyer's abilities following the good reputation of Saudi lawyers and the local and international acclamation they received based on their various stances and continuous efforts for organizing their work environment until they have become a major element in the Kingdom's judicial works.
About the 9th meeting of the lawyers and arbitrators of the Gulf Cooperation Council States, Al Mashari said it is an extension of the previous meetings in a continuous series to corroborate the common Gulf work and developing both sectors of the legal profession and commercial arbitration at the GCC's States to enhance such important sectors in particular these countries have become now a party in several commercial agreements and due to their increase economic activities, necessitating presence of powerful lawyers who are able to protect the economic sectors interests and settlement of commercial disputes.
The meeting will combine the lawyers and arbitrators with the chambers of commerce officials, businessmen and business directors in the Gulf Cooperation Council States under the title (New Vision for Better Professional Future) in presence of more than 200 lawyers and arbitrators of the GCC's States representing bars, Shariah & law colleges, major law firms, senior arbitrators and Chairmen of the Chambers of Commerce headed by Saleh Kamel, Chairman of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Head of the Lawyers National Committee and chairman of the committee organizing the meeting Dr. Majed Mohammed Garoub said these meetings are opportunities to develop the work and professional relations between these entities and reinforcing their mutual contacts. He said there is a number of speakers prominently including Deputy Minister of Justice and Chairman of Human Rights Commission who shall present several opinions and concepts in addition to work papers covering 8 pivots including training and qualification of lawyers and arbitrators, professional management of law offices, impact of the foreign law firms in developing the legal profession and arbitration works in the GCC's States and the chambers of commerce role in reinforcing the arbitration culture for settlement of businessmen disputes.
Garoub has commended the efforts being exerted by the Council of Saudi Chambers represented by its Chairman Eng. Abdullah Saeed Al Mubti and the Council General Secretariat for the success of both events held under the honorable patronage of H.E. the Minister of Justice as a part of his unlimited support to the Lawyers Committee to perform the role assigned to it successfully.
